It's here! Got the first issue of the free, new, cigar mag called "Cigar Press." Anyone else heard, read or will be carrying them? It's quite informative actually. The taste tests are done by anyone who subscribes(ed) to carry their mag. There's a great page at the back of it w/ some great commentary from readers as well as some cigar humor that had me cracking up. It's a much more thourough read than Aficionado ever was or will be. I'm impressed!
Sidenote: Ben, thought you might get a kick out of it, our buddy, J.Fuego, has a couple of huge full-age ads in this edition.

Re: Cigar Press
Fri, June 29, 2007 - 3:57 PMBrilliant! Its good to see him starting to make some moves in the business. Too many startups and boutiques end up just playing "small ball" and trying to get by on word of mouth alone...
How does it compare to "Smoke"? Ill see if I cant get a copy of this, let you know what I think... -

Re: Cigar Press
Sat, July 28, 2007 - 10:06 AMspeaking of cigar mags, i much prefer smoke over Cigar Asphyxianado. CA always made me think "I'm such a loser for not being able to afford lavish trips, resorts, 100,000 dollar cars..."
Smoke's a bit more for the avg guy on the street. I do wish they would stop profiling older celebrity cigarsmokers and use some younger guys.
I'd love to see Cigar Press. How can I find it? -
